How the firm works
Every engagement begins with a defined scope, set out in writing, before work begins. Clients are told what the firm is doing, what it costs, and who is handling the matter. The work is handled personally by the attorney the client speaks with.
The firm brings fluency in both common law and civil law traditions and concentrates on situations where more than one legal system is in play.
Working with co-counsel
Where a matter calls for additional specialization, the firm associates established co-counsel and tells the client who they are. Any division of fees is proportional to the work performed or responsibility assumed, made with the client’s written consent, and compliant with Rule 1.5(g) of the New York Rules of Professional Conduct. The firm stays engaged throughout.
